Atrial fibrillation, a common heart arrhythmia, is treated using ablation catheters to burn the heart wall. With up to a 50% initial failure rate, medical expenses quadruple due to repeat procedures. Stable catheter contact can reduce this failure rate by 20%.
Aufero Medical is developing an add-on accessory device to give on-demand contact stability in the hands of the electrophysiologists.
In the US, our product applies to over 300,000 eligible catheter ablation procedures.
